In the mailbox today, excellent news!

Cher Balthazar,

Want to know what it means exactly? More after the jump.

French can be so pompous sometimes… To sum things up, back in October I had submitted my game to several contests, the IGF Student Competition being one. This one is a french initiative by the SACD on game authorship. Turns out that in French culture, authors are central to cultural works, and the fact that such an important organism acknowledges the possibility of authorship in games speaks volumes of the maturity of the medium.

But back to me. I WON! Or should I say, WE won, as you can’t say “Poesysteme” without “team” (actually, you will need to mispronounce and misspell it for that to work…).The thing is that only one person is entitled to the prize, because it is…

…An all-expenses-payed trip to GDC San Francisco!

This has been a dream of mine for a long time, but attending so soon is like a godsend.

So, who else is going to be in San Francisco around the 18-22 february?
